Thunderobot MIX G2 launching globally, but it’s far from a cheap device
One may soon have an RTX 5090M option for a gaming Mini-PC.
Just over a month ago, Thunderobot launched the MIX G2 in China. It is a compact system, but it is also larger than typical NUC-style boxes, which makes sense given the hardware inside. Reports around the China launch describe a 3.2-liter chassis and configurations based on Intel Arrow Lake HX processors paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Laptop GPUs.
NotebookCheck now says Thunderobot has confirmed an international release, with a full global unveiling planned for January 6 during CES 2026 in Las Vegas. Thunderobot’s own CES press release also lists the MIX G2 as a mini PC with a GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, and it includes a booth location at LVCC Central Hall 15845.
Also debuting is the aibook 14 Pro, a lightweight multifunctional laptop crafted with a carbon-fiber chassis, weighing approximately 1.0 kg; the THUNDEROBOT MIX G2, a mini PC equipped with a GeForce RTX™ 5090 laptop GPU; the Machenike MINI GTS, an AI mini PC featuring the Ultra 9 Processor 285H; and the Shadow Hunter EX68, an FPS gaming keyboard utilizing exclusive analog optical switch technology.

For pricing context, the top China configuration pairs a Core Ultra 9 275HX with a GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU and 64 GB of memory. It launched at CNY 24,999, with a listed price of CNY 26,999 (around $3,800). Lower SKUs start with a Core Ultra 7 255HX plus GeForce RTX 5070 Ti at CNY 14,999.

This targets the ASUS ROG NUC (2025), which ASUS lists with up to a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. A top ROG NUC configuration with Core Ultra 9 275HX and RTX 5080 Laptop GPU has been spotted at $3,199 in retail listings and reviews. Thunderobot has not shared global pricing yet, so CES should clarify what regions are getting the MIX G2 and which SKUs are leaving China.
