Call of Duty Black Ops 7 price already drops 40-50% month after launch

Best Buy cuts Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 price

Best Buy has listed Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at $34.99, down from $69.99, which is a 50% cut. This offer has already ended and it was a single day promotion. However the price is not much higher now, just $39, still much cheaper than just one month ago ($69)

The drop lands about a month after release, and it matches the game’s rough reception so far. Black Ops 7 sits at a 67 Metascore on Metacritic, while the user score has fallen to 1.6.

Europe is where the weak start showed up fastest. Sales tracking reports put Black Ops 7’s opening week 63% below Battlefield 6’s debut week, and more than 50% down versus last year’s Call of Duty release in the same region.

AMD used Black Ops 7 as a showcase title for FSR Redstone. A Redstone feature (Ray Regeneration) first showed up through Black Ops 7, and AMD’s own rollout has been tied to Radeon RX 9000-series support at launch.

Activision is also signaling a broader shift as Black Ops 7 moves into its live-service cycle. In a December 9 update, the company said it will no longer do back-to-back releases of Modern Warfare or Black Ops games, and it announced a free trial for Multiplayer and Zombies this week with a Double XP weekend, while calling Season 01 its largest live season so far.
