LG shows Tandem WOLED panels for 2026, 5K 39-inch curved panel teased

LG teases new 2026 OLED panels

TFTCentral spotted a short mention of an unannounced LG Display monitor panel on a 2026 roadmap video. It points to a 39-inch ultrawide with a “5K” class resolution, but there is no formal LG Display confirmation yet.

If that panel is the expected 5K2K 5120 x 2160 format, a 39-inch size would land around 142 PPI. That is close to what you get from today’s 31.5-inch 4K monitors (personally I find this resolution and screen size perfect), so text and UI density should be in the same ballpark.

The same segment also hints at a gentler curve than the 800R used on earlier 34-inch and 39-inch ultrawide WOLED panels, and on the 45-inch 5K2K WOLED models. A less aggressive curve would fit a 39-inch screen better for mixed use.

Note on the two 27-inch panels mentioned in the same piece: the video references the existing 27-inch 1440p 540Hz WOLED panel with a 720Hz dual-mode option, which is already showing up in announced monitors such as ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQWP-W. It also mentions a 27-inch 4K WOLED panel, which would be a first for LG Display in this size class and would line up directly against Samsung Display’s 27-inch 4K QD-OLED panels.
