Paradox Customs PCs without RAM, as an option

Paradox Customs says it is adding a “no RAM” option to its prebuilt configurator, pointing to ongoing shortages and memory prices climbing. If you already have sticks on hand, you can order the PC without memory and drop your own kit in.
This is an issue because RAM is one of the parts system builders normally rely on for predictable inventory, predictable pricing, and predictable support outcomes. When memory supply gets tight, builders either eat the cost, raise prices, or stop offering certain kits. Letting customers bring their own RAM sidesteps the sourcing problem, but it also shifts a core part of the build experience onto the buyer.
Due to ongoing RAM shortages and the price of ram skyrocketing, we are now providing the option to select no ram in the build section of our website!

For a prebuilt, it also turns into a gray area fast. If someone buys a kit that does not play nicely with the motherboard, you can get boot loops, instability, random app crashes, or “it posts only with one stick” complaints. I wonder who is responsible for debugging BIOS settings, memory training, and EXPO or XMP behavior for RAM they did not sell, or does the customer get sent back to the memory vendor.
Skipping storage is usually easier to explain, even if the primary M.2 slot is tucked under the GPU and swapping drives can be annoying. Skipping RAM is weird, because at some point a “prebuilt” starts to look like a kit with a power button. If this keeps going, expect the next checkbox to be “no VGA support, I have my own zip ties.”
