ASUS AniMe Holo(graphic) display in G1000 case to be presented at CES 2026

ASUS ROG has started teasing a product called “G1000,” saying “something is spinning at the heart of the G1000,” with a full reveal scheduled for January 5 at 3 PM PST as part of its CES 2026 showcase.
The teaser also shows the label “ AniMe Holo ,” and it appears to be a spinning LED setup that forms an image while rotating, similar to what’s commonly described as a persistence-of-vision (POV) LED “hologram fan.” These displays rely on fast-moving LEDs that light up in precise patterns to create a stable image to the human eye. The “AniMe Holo” naming also sounds related to ASUS’ prior AniMe Matrix branding on ROG devices, plus the newer AniMe Vision display naming used on recent hardware and in Armoury Crate tools.

A built-in spinning display raises some questions. If this assembly sits where a normal intake or exhaust fan would go, it could change airflow and probably add some turbulence, given the size. I would be more worried about the lifespan and how likely this spinning hologram was to accidentally detach from the bearing and launch itself into the case or room.

If ASUS turns this into a real retail case, it could also be a simpler alternative to internal screen mods. Case modders often repurpose small LCDs by stripping layers and relying on internal lighting, then wiring it all into a clean mount. A pre-integrated POV display could reduce that work. The company is expected to show the G1000 officially at CES 2026, but it is still unclear if it’s a product announcement or a showpiece.
