GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Windforce OC V2 shows up with no thermal gel listed

GIGABYTE has posted a new GeForce RTX 5070 Ti WINDFORCE OC V2 16G (GV-N507TWF3OCV2-16GD). It keeps the same 2497 MHz factory boost as the existing WINDFORCE OC SFF model, along with 16GB of 28 Gbps GDDR7 on a 256-bit bus.
The V2 page also suggests a different cooler shroud. It focuses on a triple fan setup with three 80 mm fans, eight composite heatpipes, a copper plate, and screen cooling. The specs confirm that the card has the same thickness (50mm) and same width (126mm), however the new V2 model is much shorter (261 mm vs 304 mm):

What’s the most interesting part is the product description. The WINDFORCE OC SFF product page calls out “server grade thermal conductive gel” as part of the cooling system, while the WINDFORCE OC V2 page does not mention the gel at all . This as the first GIGABYTE RTX 50 series card that drops the gel from its official marketing materials.

The gel was at the center of the earlier “thermal gel” reports . GIGABYTE said some early GeForce RTX 50 series batches used a higher gel volume, which could leave visible excess. The company said it was cosmetic and later adjusted in production. Perhaps GIGABYTE decided that not all models need this gel, or it found a remaining issue and is addressing it with new revisions. We have not seen many reports since the first cases, so this does not look like a major issue now.
