AMD Gorgon Point and Intel Panther Lake laptops
Windows Latest posted specifications for several upcoming Lenovo Legion gaming laptops, including Legion 7a, Legion 5a, and Legion 5i. The report points to CES 2026 for the announcement, but there are no product images yet.
Legion non-Pro laptops
The lineup mixes AMD and Intel platforms. On the AMD side, the list includes Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 and Ryzen AI 9 465, plus a cheaper Legion 5a option with Ryzen 7 250 from the Ryzen 200 series. Windows Latest also mentions Ryzen AI 7 445, but only for non Legion models. On the Intel side, Legion 5i is listed with Core Ultra 9 386H , which is part of the upcoming Core Ultra 300 family tied to Panther Lake. The AMD parts look like a Gorgon Point refresh of Strix Point, so CPU changes may be limited versus the prior generation.

Legion 7a is shown with a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED panel at up to 240Hz VRR and up to 64GB LPDDR5x. Legion 5a drops to a 15.3-inch 2560 x 1600 OLED at 165Hz and tops out at 32GB DDR5-5600.
Across the Legion 7a, Legion 5a, and Legion 5i entries, graphics are listed as up to an RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7 and up to 115W plus a 15W boost. That positioning reads more like upper midrange than a high-end tier.
Legion laptops with onboard LA1, LA3 and LA4 NPUs
Legion 7a is described with LA1 + LA4, while Legion 5a and Legion 5i use LA1 + LA3, and the Ryzen 200-based Legion 5a and LOQ entries show LA1 only. This is the name of Lenovo’s onboard AI accelerators. That is on top of the NPU inside the AMD and Intel processors, plus the GPU-side AI throughput claims tied to RTX 5060. It is still unclear what Windows 11 features will use these extra modules versus Lenovo software features like Legion Space tuning.
Lenovo has its special LA1+LA4 onboard AI chips for these tasks, says our sources, but this being a Copilot+ PC will gain a lot from the onboard NPU in the Ryzen 400 series and the 572 TOPS throughput of the RTX 5060 GPU, but we are not sure if Windows 11 AI experiences can tap into that.

These appear to be non-Pro models, which helps explain the shared RTX 5060 ceiling across the stack. If Lenovo has higher-end Legion laptops planned with faster graphics, those models may leak later, or they might not be part of the early CES 2026 wave at all. I guess we will find out soon enough.
