Mouse Computer pauses sales of all PC brands in Japan as orders overwhelm supply

Mouse Computer pauses sales of all PC brands through January 4 after order surge

Mouse Computer will temporarily stop selling all PC products on its official site from 15:00 on December 23, 2025 through January 4, 2026 , with sales set to resume in stages from January 5 .

The company already announced multiple times that if there’s time to buy PC hardware, it is now. And that was two weeks ago. Eventually the company says it received far more orders than expected, which led to shipping delays. It is pausing sales to keep customer support responsive and to maintain product quality. The stop applies to systems sold under mouse (mainly laptops) , NEXTGEAR (gaming prebuilts) , GTUNE (gaming PCs) , and DAIV (creator PCs) .

It is hard to imagine a retailer running out of employees and support to cover the orders, but that’s seemingly what had happened. PC Watch linked an earlier message from Mouse to the wider parts cost pressure, with memory pricing being one of the factors buyers were already watching. It looks like people were buying more parts before 2026.

PC Watch also reports the sales stop covers the company’s direct shops, and that Mouse will skip its 2026 New Year’s in-store sale. Honestly, I do not remember any retailer halting all PC product sales like that, and I’m curious whether the influx of orders on memory and storage had something to do with that. At least, that’s what the PC Watch series of articles appears to suggest.
