ASUS top-of-the-line ROG gaming monitor

ASUS has made a small mistake by putting its new gaming monitor online ahead of CES 2026. Luckily some good souls who noticed the mistake have shared some materials with us. What looks like the successor to the PG32UCDM, the company’s current 32-inch 4K QD-OLED flagship, is specced as a better all-around panel. It is still a 32-inch (31.5-inch) 4K display with up to a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms GTG response time.
The big changes are on the connectivity and HDR side. PG32UCDM used DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, while the new PG32UCDM3 lists DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 with full 80Gbps bandwidth, plus HDMI 2.1 and USB-C with up to 90W power delivery.
ASUS also adds BlackShield film. It is a film layer the company says improves scratch resistance by 2.5x and boosts the perceived black level by up to 40% in well-lit rooms, compared to earlier QD-OLED panels. ASUS also lists the monitor as VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 compliant, which would make it the company’s first ROG gaming monitor at this tier.

What changes vs PG32UCDMR
The actual successor, ROG PG32UCDMR, already moved the series to DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 (80Gbps) and kept the same core format, 32-inch 4K QD-OLED at 240Hz, with USB-C power delivery and the Neo Proximity Sensor as part of ASUS OLED Care Pro. It is certified for VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400.

PG32UCDM3 keeps the same high-bandwidth DisplayPort setup, but adds BlackShield and steps up the listed HDR certification to DisplayHDR True Black 500. It also adds an “AI Assistant” bundle with AI Visual, Dynamic Crosshair, and Dynamic Shadow Boost, and ASUS describes extra DisplayWidget Center features like auto firmware update notifications and profile import and export.
True Black 500 is not a new category for OLED gaming monitors, MSI and Samsung already ship models with the same VESA tier. ASUS put the product page live ahead of CES 2026 reveal, but at least now you know what to expect.
