ONDA Z790PRO-WIFI-B4 motherboards gets you DDR4 support
ONDA has released the Z790PRO-WIFI-B4, a LGA1700 motherboard built around Intel’s Z790 chipset, but with four DDR4 DIMM slots instead of DDR5. It is priced at 779 yuan, which converts to about $111 at current rates.
The timing is interesting because DDR4 motherboard options are narrowing on the mainstream desktop side. Intel’s newer desktop platform built around Core Ultra 200S and Z890 has moved to DDR5 only, so LGA1700 boards like Z790 are one of the last places where DDR4 still shows up in new products.
Board makers have also been trimming DDR4 variants on older chipsets. There were reports about DDR4 motherboard production ending many months ago, same for DDR4 memory. However given the circumstances, it lookslike DDR4 might actually be the answer to cheaper PCs these days.

The ONDA Z790PRO-WIFI-B4 is an LGA1700 Z790 motherboard for Intel 12th to 14th Gen Core CPUs , with four DDR4 DIMM slots and XMP support up to DDR4-3600 (OC). It uses a 12-phase Dr.MOS power design, includes three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots plus four SATA ports, and provides one PCIe x16 slot and one PCIe x1 slot. Connectivity includes onboard Wi-Fi 6E, USB Type-C, and display outputs via two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort.
At this price, it looks aimed at builders reusing a DDR4 kit who still want a new Z790 board with Wi-Fi 6E and multiple PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots.
And yes, some of you might remember that ONDA also makes graphics cards. In fact, it launched its first RTX 50 GPU just last month, and we almost thought that they were quitting the GPU business. It looks like they will be sticking around for longer.
