Monitor TestUFO 3 brings native 1:1 resolution mode, ready for 1000Hz+ monitors

Blur Busters has released TestUFO 3.0, a new version of its browser-based display testing suite.

TestUFO is used by monitor reviewers, YouTubers, and perhaps the most important group: enthusiasts, who need repeatable motion tests that viewers can also run at home. It is also used by display makers and educators, since it works in a web browser and does not require installing a dedicated app.

The big theme in v3.0 is control over how test patterns are rendered. A new native 1:1 resolution mode can temporarily override OS DPI and browser zoom, which helps when you need pixel-accurate patterns for scaling checks, chroma tests, and pursuit photos. TestUFO 3.0 also adds fixed scaling presets up to 600%, plus an integer scaling option for nearest-neighbor rendering.

Blur Busters also lists support aimed at “1000 Hz+” testing, so I’m guessing Samsung’s new Odyssey G6 1040 Hz monitor will be supported.

Other upgrades focus on coverage across devices and browsers. TestUFO 3.0 is positioned as faster-loading and more usable on phones and tablets, and it expands wide color and HDR handling with Display-P3 and Rec.2020 support. WebGL rendering and shader-based demos are now part of the stack, including a CRT electron beam simulator.
