ASUS teases ROG OLED monitor with RGB striple subpixel layout

ASUS promises clearer text on its new RGB OLED OLED monitor

ASUS ROG has posted a CES 2026 teaser for an RGB OLED monitor, calling out “zero fringing”. The wording lines up with LG Display’s recent push for RGB stripe OLED panels aimed at cleaner text rendering.

LG Display announced a 27-inch 4K OLED monitor panel that keeps an RGB stripe subpixel structure while reaching 240Hz. It also supports a dual-mode switch via Dynamic Frequency and Resolution, with UHD 240Hz and FHD 480Hz listed as selectable modes. LG Display says RGB stripe can reduce color fringing and improve close-up clarity, and it lists 160 ppi for the 27-inch 4K panel.

ASUS has not shared specs, size, or a product name yet. Right now, the teaser reads like a hint that a monitor using this type of panel will be shown during the CES window.

CES 2026 runs January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas, and ROG has confirmed a display-focused presence, including a media showroom. The ASUS monitor is more than likely to feature similar, if not identical, specs to LG Display’s, so expect a UHD 240Hz and FHD 480Hz dual-mode split.
