ASUS is teasing a return of “BFGD” for CES 2026

That line makes a traditional giant panel sound less likely. My first thought was a short-throw or ultra-short throw projector would fit the clue, since you can get a huge image without moving your setup. Another option is a display that folds, rolls, or mounts differently, but ASUS is not sharing any specs yet.

The last time ASUS pushed the “Big Format Gaming Display” idea was around CES 2018, when it announced the ROG Swift PG65 as a 65-inch 4K HDR BFGD tied to NVIDIA’s BFGD program.  That product later showed up as the PG65UQ, with ASUS announcing availability in 2019.

For now, the teaser reads more like a form-factor change than a simple “big monitor is back” post. CES 2026 should clarify whether this is a projector, a modular screen, or another take on big-screen PC gaming.
