Report: ASUS plans higher DDR4 motherboard output in Q1 2026

A rumor from Board Channels claims ASUS is adjusting its Q1 2026 motherboard production plan. The post says the company is shifting supply chain and factory capacity toward DDR4 models. This is a response to the increased pricing of DDR5 memory.

On the AMD side, the claim is that ASUS will raise output for AM4 boards. The post points to higher supply for B550 and A520 DDR4 motherboards to meet demand.

For Intel, the post says ASUS will push more mainstream DDR4 models into e-commerce channels. It specifically mentions higher supply for B760M and H610M-G boards aimed at online buyers. Judging from this post, the supply of DDR5 motherboards should not change, rather this is ASUS internal planning to reintroduce more DDR4 compatible boards. Perhaps the target here is not the consumer but business and commercial market, which does not need the latest standards.

This is not an official ASUS statement, so treat it as a supply chain rumor. If it holds up, it suggests DDR4 motherboards are not being phased out soon, even though some of these models first launched around five years ago.
