LG details UltraGear evo monitor lineup for CES 2026
LG has published a CES 2026 page for its UltraGear evo gaming monitor lineup, with a focus on 5K and 5K2K panels and a new AI upscaling pitch. The page also highlights multiple models as CES 2026 Innovation Awards honorees.
LG says a built-in processor handles “ 5K AI Upscaling, ” scaling external inputs to the panel’s native resolution in real time. The company adds that AI Upscaling needs at least an FHD source signal, and it will not run with inputs below FHD.

For panels, LG is tying several models to its “ 4th Gen Primary RGB Tandem OLED ,” and claims higher brightness with lower power than its prior gen, plus UL certifications for Perfect Black, Perfect Color, and Perfect Reproduction. On the MiniLED side, LG advertises “Minimized Blooming” using 2,304 local dimming zones and “Zero Optical Distance” construction, plus an internal comparison that cites 1.5x more zones and 5.9x more LEDs than its previous 27GR95UM.

LG says the UltraGear evo lineup will be showcased at CES 2026, and its global announcement also states that global sales of the 27GX790B begin on the opening day of CES 2026. LG has not shared pricing or broad retail timing for the rest of the lineup yet.
