Dell XPS laptops return at CES 2026

Dell has not officially confirmed a return of the XPS badge, but the idea is back on the radar ahead of CES 2026. VideoCardz sources confirm that Dell has presented the updated XPS lineup during CES 2026 prebriefing.
Dell ended XPS branding publicly at CES 2025, when it switched to a simpler naming scheme built around Dell, Dell Pro, and Dell Pro Max tiers. Dell positioned “Premium” as the successor tier that would carry the XPS legacy forward.
That transition became clearer in mid-2025, when Dell launched the Dell 14 Premium and Dell 16 Premium as the new flagship consumer models that replace the XPS 14 and XPS 16 in practice. Those two sizes also match what people now expect at the top of Dell’s consumer stack.
While we don’t have the specs yet, the presentation at CES 2026 likely means that Dell will use Core Ultra 300 “Panther Lake”, which is set to be announced on January 5. However, as we recall from the leaked 2024 roadmap, Dell was planning to use both AMD and Qualcomm chips as well for its XPS line.
More details to follow next week.
