Zhaoxin hints at KX-8000 desktop CPU plans, with DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 on the list

Zhaoxin’s year-end roundup post includes a short “what’s next” section that name-drops a new Kaixian KX-8000 processor. This is closer to a roadmap teaser than a launch post.
Zhaoxin frames KX-8000 as a value-focused PC and embedded chip, and says it will hit up to 4GHz while adding integrated graphics plus PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 support . Earlier leaks, including an official roadmap, have pointed to an 8-core design , but the 2025 wrap-up teaser itself does not mention core count.
That is basically the full spec list so far. Zhaoxin did not share core counts, architecture details, process node, iGPU specs, or platform lane counts in the post.
The results of 2025 mark Zhaoxin’s progress, while the road ahead in 2026 carries new expectations. In 2026, Zhaoxin says it will deliver another step forward in its in-house CPU roadmap, with the next-generation KaiXian KX-8000 processor set to appear.
Zhaoxin positions the KaiXian KX-8000 as a value-focused PC and embedded processor with a large performance uplift. It says peak frequency will reach 4GHz, with high-performance integrated graphics, plus support for mainstream I/O such as PCIe 5.0 and DDR5. The company claims this will bring a broad platform upgrade and help speed up innovation and digital transformation across industry deployments.
