Corsair cancels DOMINATOR TITANIUM 48GB DDR5 orders after webstore pricing error

Corsair is canceling a wave of webstore orders for a 48GB DDR5 memory kit, telling buyers the item was listed at an incorrect price due to a system error. Customers say the checkout went through, then a cancellation email followed later.
In those emails, Corsair apologizes and says it had to cancel to keep “ pricing accurate and fair ” across the store. The company also offered a 15% off code for a future order, but some buyers report that the code shown in the message was already expired.
We are writing to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your order. Unfortunately, the memory item you purchased was listed with incorrect pricing due to a system error. Once this issue was identified, we had to cancel the order to ensure accurate and fair pricing for all customers. We understand how frustrating this can be, and we truly regret any disappointment or disruption this may have caused.

The affected product is the DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB 48GB (2x24GB) DDR5-6400 CL36 kit (SKU: CMP48GX5M2B6400C36). Corsair’s official statement says the kit was out of stock and briefly appeared available for pre-order on January 1 — even though Corsair does not accept DRAM pre-orders. All affected orders are being canceled and refunded, with the company citing its Terms of Sale that allow cancellations caused by listing or pricing errors.
NOTICE: DRAM Cancellations – Webstore Pricing Error
On January 1, our webstore mistakenly listed an out-of-stock memory kit – DOMINATOR TITANIUM RGB 48GB (2x24GB) DDR5 6400MT/s CL36 (SKU: CMP48GX5M2B6400C36) at an incorrect price. Due to an internal systems error, the item briefly appeared available for pre-order, despite not being in stock.
We do not currently accept pre-orders for DRAM kits, and we do not have inventory available for this product. As a result, all orders placed on January 1st containing this item are being cancelled and fully refunded in accordance with our Terms of Sale.
Initially a standard coupon was sent out to these impacted customers but they will be receiving an additional coupon for DRAM specifically, in addition to the standard coupon code, direct from our customer service team.
We regret the confusion caused by this error and appreciate your understanding.
Users discussing the issue say Corsair moderators have begun locking related discussion threads on the official Corsair subreddit, preventing further comments. Many of those posts were attempts to compare screenshots of their invoices or share cancellation messages.
This comes only a day after another Corsair order-cancellation story . In that earlier case, a customer claimed his VENGEANCE a5100 prebuilt PC order was canceled and relisted at a higher price when he tried to reorder. In this case, some users claim the memory was relisted at $500, but we couldn’t confirm it at the time of writing.
