ASUS reportedly confirms ROG Phone is not launching in 2026

Some smartphone distributors were reportedly unable to source ASUS phones through local agents, according to reports from Taiwan. This sparked speculation that the phone company would cease releasing new products after December 31, 2025. ASUS says the mobile business will continue, but it has no plans to introduce new smartphone models in 2026.
ASUS says maintenance, software upgrades, and warranty service for existing devices will not change. The company also says it will keep its current operating model for the smartphone business and continue after sales support for current ZenFone and ROG Phone owners.
In response, Asus(2357.TW) said it has clearly communicated to telecom channels that its smartphone operations will continue and that maintenance, software upgrades, and warranty services for all existing products will not be affected. However, the company said it currently has no plans to introduce new smartphone models in 2026.
Asus added that the smartphone business will maintain its current operating model and continue to provide comprehensive after-sales support for all Asus smartphone users, including warranty coverage and software updates, to ensure user rights and interests are not affected.
