NVIDIA rumored to bring GeForce RTX 3060 production back this quarter

Rumor: GeForce RTX 3060 could return this quarter

As we recall, last month Board Channels claimed the remaining supply of factory-new GeForce RTX 3060 series cards is drying up, with December 2025 described as the final month for new units in the channel.

The GeForce RTX 3060 launched in February 2021 and became a common mid-range pick in gaming PCs. The lineup also included RTX 3060 Ti models and Lite Hash Rate (LHR) variants tied to the mining era. This is not the first time the card has been linked to an end-of-production timeline. Reports in August 2024 said NVIDIA had told partners to place final RTX 3060 orders, with the last chips expected to move through the supply chain over the following months.

Apparently, it’s not entirely true anymore. Leaker hongxing2020 says NVIDIA has updated partners and plans to bring RTX 3060 back in Q1 2026, just weeks after the “end of new stock” claims.

He did not say whether this refers to the 12GB model, the later 8GB version, or both. The GeForce RTX 3060 uses GDDR6 memory, which may be less affected by upcoming GDDR7 price hikes if the other rumors are accurate. Some high-end models are already said to be hard to find through distributors.
