ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14/G16 gets Core Ultra 300 series, higher GPU power limits

ASUS updates ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 with Core Ultra Series 3

ASUS is refreshing its ROG Zephyrus laptop lineup for CES 2026, with updates focused on local AI workloads, higher GPU power limits, and new HDR panels in thin chassis designs.

ROG Zephyrus G14 & G16

The new Zephyrus G14 (GU405) and Zephyrus G16 (GU606) move to Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. ASUS lists up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance for on-device AI tasks and in-game AI features. On graphics, the G14 can be configured up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 508 0 Laptop GPU, while the G16 goes up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.

ASUS also says it raised the manual-mode maximum GPU TGP. The G14 goes from 120W to 130W, and the G16 goes from 130W to 160W. A separate G14 variant (GA403) is planned with a next-generation AMD Ryzen AI processor, with Copilot+ positioning and 50 TOPS NPU performance.

Display upgrades are a key part of the update. ASUS is using a new Nebula HDR panel rated at 1100 nits, with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and Delta E below 1. Both models also add a full-size SD card reader, and ASUS points to a redesigned bottom panel, optimized exhaust paths, and liquid metal on the CPU under its ROG Intelligent Cooling branding.

ROG Zephyrus Duo 16

ASUS is also keeping the dual-screen Zephyrus Duo 16 (GX651) in the lineup, built around two 3K OLED touch panels that run at 120Hz and claim a 0.2 ms response time. The main display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC, and ASUS pairs the system with the latest Intel processor options and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Cooling uses a vapor chamber, dual fans, and a dedicated graphite layer, with five operating modes for different workloads.
