ASUS RTX 5090 ProArt revealed

ASUS has revealed the GeForce RTX 5090 ProArt, a 2.5-slot partner card built around the same double flow-through concept used on the RTX 5090 Founders Edition. NVIDIA says this double flow-through approach is now showing up in board-partner designs, not just the Founders Edition cards.

The ProArt model is also tied to NVIDIA’s Founders Edition-style multi-PCB layout, which is typically used to support that airflow path. Recent partner designs such as GIGABYTE’s AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 INFINITY have been shown using the Founders Edition PCB format as well. NVIDIA has opened the PCB use for partner cards, as announced by Jeff Fischer during ASUS event today.

ASUS is positioning the ProArt RTX 5090 for small-form-factor builds, while still keeping it multi-GPU friendly. In its CES presentation, ASUS showed the card in a dual-GPU setup, and the company says two cards can fit in one system under the SFF-Ready program guidance.

ASUS lists a vapor chamber, liquid metal on the GPU, two 115 mm Axial-tech fans, and a double-vented backplate, with an 11% cooling efficiency gain claim tied to the flow-through backplate design.

Unlike the RTX 5090 Founders Edition, the ProArt card also adds a USB Type-C port aimed at creator displays and workflows. ASUS has been using USB Type-C as a ProArt line feature on its RTX 50-series ProArt cards, and the RTX 5090 ProArt keeps that idea.

As a reminder, GeForce RTX 5090 specs include 21,760 CUDA cores and 32 GB of GDDR7 on a 512-bit bus at 28 Gbps, with a 575 W power figure listed on partner spec sheets. It is a Blackwell GPU, and NVIDIA’s product page calls out the 32 GB GDDR7 configuration for the RTX 5090.

ASUS has not said when the RTX 5090 ProArt will ship, and it has not shared pricing.
