Lenovo confirms Legion Go model that ships with SteamOS, due in June.

Lenovo has announced a “Powered by SteamOS” version of the Legion Go 2 at CES 2026. It ships with SteamOS preinstalled, and Lenovo says the handheld also includes a dedicated Steam button for quick access to Steam menus and shortcuts.
This is Lenovo’s second SteamOS handheld after the Legion Go S, but it targets the higher-end Legion Go 2 design. The SteamOS model keeps the detachable controllers, integrated kickstand, and the right-controller FPS mouse mode with the snap-on puck.

Hardware stays the same as the Windows Legion Go 2. Configurations include up to an AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU , up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory (up to 8000 MT/s), and up to a 2TB PCIe Gen4 M.2 2242 SSD, plus a microSD slot. Lenovo pairs that with an 8.8-inch 1920×1200 OLED display that runs at 144Hz and supports VRR, along with a 74Wh battery and dual USB4 Type-C ports.
Lenovo says the Legion Go 2 with SteamOS will be available in June 2026, starting at $1,199. The SteamOS launch comes months after the Windows version, which Lenovo began selling in late 2025.
