If your desk feels too peaceful, CES 2026 has an answer: put an always-on AI face on it, add cameras, then call it companionship. Lepro Ami and Razer Project AVA both chase the same idea, a gadget that sits there and looks back. At you.
Lepro Ami is the “quietly watching” approach. It is a standalone device with an 8.01-inch curved OLED, a 3D effect that shifts with eye tracking, and a rear camera for an AR-style overlay. Lepro also lists sensors for things like temperature and humidity, plus a touch sensor that can do heart-rate detection.

Razer Project AVA is the “now with more monitoring” approach. Razer’s own description includes an animated 3D hologram, an HD camera, eye tracking, a far-field mic, and “PC vision mode” that can look at what is on the screen.
Razer also says the current demo runs on xAI’s Grok. That timing is awkward, because Grok has been under scrutiny after reports it generated non-consensual deepfake content, including “undressing” style edits, which has triggered regulator attention in multiple places. So yes, a device that watches and listens all day, powered by a model in the middle of that kind of news cycle. Sounds relaxing.

Lepro says Ami is slated to ship starting July 2026. Razer says Project AVA is expected to ship in the second half of 2026, with US reservations open via a $20 deposit and no final price yet. If I were to give you investment ideas, this wouldn’t be on the list.
