MSI adds Glacier Blue option to Claw 8 AI+ handheld, shows Polar Void concept at CES 2026

MSI is refreshing its Claw 8 AI+ gaming handheld with a new Glacier Blue Edition . The change is cosmetic, at least based on what MSI has shared so far, and it targets the Claw 8 AI+ line rather than the Claw A8, which is the separate AMD based model.
The Claw 8 AI+ remains one of the few mainstream handhelds built around Intel’s latest mobile platform. While most rivals in this segment lean on AMD, MSI is sticking with an Intel Core Ultra setup paired with Arc graphics for this device family.

MSI’s headline spec positioning for the Claw 8 AI+ stays the same. The handheld is built around an 8 inch FHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and VRR support, backed by an 80 Wh battery. MSI also continues to call out features like Hall effect controls and the usual handheld focused ergonomics and software layer.

It is still unclear if Glacier Blue brings any hardware changes. MSI previously used special editions to make small spec tweaks, such as bundling more storage on earlier variants, so a similar move is possible. Right now, MSI has only confirmed the new color. So there was no update on Intel Panther Lake version, but at least we got two new colors.
Alongside Glacier Blue, MSI has also been showing a Polar Void Edition at CES 2026. MSI has not shared pricing or an exact on sale date for the Claw 8 AI+ Glacier Blue Edition , and launch timing may vary by region. The Purple Void wasn’t even mentioned in press release.
