MSI joins Strix Halo fan-club
MSI has announced the AI Edge series, starting with a compact 4-liter desktop aimed at local edge AI workloads. The system is based on AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 300 series processors, with the flagship Ryzen AI Max+ 395 listed as an option.
MSI lists up to 126 TOPS of total AI performance for the platform. Graphics comes from RDNA 3.5 with 40 compute units. The XDNA 2 NPU is rated at up to 50 TOPS.

MSI says the AI Edge can be configured with up to 128GB of on-board LPDDR5X-8000 , with up to 96GB dynamically allocated as variable graphics memory. MSI also claims up to 15 tokens per second when running LLMs up to 120B parameters, using local inference.
MSI says the system can run Windows or Linux, and places gaming performance in the GeForce RTX 4060 class. T he 4L chassis includes a built-in power supply , and uses an MSI Glacier Armor cooling design with added heatsinks on key components. MSI also bundles a local multimodal app for tasks like meeting notes and mind maps, plus RAG features for querying local data.
MSI did not share pricing or a ship date for this new SFF PC, but we will keep you posted.
