ASUS TUF Gaming A14 refresh brings Ryzen AI Max+ 392 to a 14-inch chassis

Finally, it took a year but AMD and its partners are finally putting MAX 300 series into something truly gaming oriented. ASUS has announced an updated TUF Gaming A14 (FA401EA) built around AMD’s new Ryzen AI Max+ 392 APU. AMD introduced the 392 at CES 2026 as a new Ryzen AI Max+ option for partner systems.
AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 392 drops to 12 CPU cores while keeping Radeon 8060S graphics with 40 compute units, plus a 50 TOPS NPU. Compared with Ryzen AI Max+ 395’s 16-core configuration, the 392 setup targets strong integrated graphics without paying for the top CPU tier.
ASUS keeps the A14 design focused on portability, with a listed weight of 1.48kg and a 1.69 to 1.99cm thickness range. The company also points to updated cooling hardware, including 97-blade fans and added intake via micro-holes in the keyboard deck.
