Xming Formovie Unveiled Chapter One, Its Liquid Cooled LCD Projector
At CES 2020, Xming Formovie showcased the Chapter One LCD projector. Its main feature is the Liquid Cooling System (LQC) designed to reduce noise and keep brightness levels stable, compared with classic air-cooled variants. While liquid cooling is already starting to be included by others in some of their latest 4K models (i.e., Anker Nebula X1 or Hisense XR10), it is nice to see that this technology is spreading also to more mainstream products like this one. The Chapter One is powered by a MediaTek MT9660 processor and supports MEMC (Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation) smoothing, autofocus, and automatic keystone correction. It has a native FHD 1920 × 1080 resolution and is rated for up to 2,000 ISO lumens. The projector also has a sealed optical engine to prevent dust from entering the optical elements. It also offers USB 2.0 and Dual HDMI 1.4 ports while Dolby Audio is listed for the integrated speakers, with no detailed audio specifications disclosed. Pricing and availability will be announced at a later date.
