The cheapest GeForce RTX 5090 in Germany is a watercooled model
RAM and SSD pricing has been moving up for weeks. Now the same pressure is starting to show up on high-end graphics cards, led by the GeForce RTX 5090.
A check of Geizhals listings shows fewer “entry” RTX 5090 options in stock, and the remaining offers sit at higher price points than earlier in the launch window. The change is most visible on mainstream triple-fan models, which used to anchor the low end of the RTX 5090 stack.

Before CES, a NVIDIA linked GPU supply planning to stable memory allocation, and said no major changes were expected on NVIDIA’s side. Retail pricing is still moving up on multiple RTX 50 models, suggesting the storefront reality is diverging from that message.
According to HardwareLuxx analysis, the same upward drift is also visible on GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti listings, though to a smaller extent. AMD Radeon RX 9070 pricing has also inched up, with changes closer to single-digit percentages.

On Jan. 12, 2026, Hardwareluxx highlighted RTX 5090 availability in Germany starting around €3,000, with examples such as INNO3D RTX 5090 X3 (from ~€3,050), Gigabyte RTX 5090 Windforce OC (from ~€3,300), MSI RTX 5090 32G Ventus 3X OC (from ~€3,150), and ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 5090 (from ~€3,450). The lowest listed option mentioned was INNO3D’s RTX 5090 iCHILL Frostbite with a pre-installed water block at ~€3,029 , while NVIDIA’s RTX 5090 Founders Edition remained listed at €2,099 when in stock.
Somehow NVIDIA has monopolized the RTX 5090 at MSRP to the Founders Edition, and anyone looking to save €1,000 is forced to buy that model.
