Thursday’s incident occurred just outside Bangkok in Samut Sakhon province, where a crane installed on an under-construction elevated highway toppled onto the busy road below.

Dashcam footage shared on social media shows the crane collapse onto unsuspecting drivers in a plume of dust and debris.

In the clip, drivers can be seen desperately reversing away from a billowing cloud blanketing stricken vehicles, while the toppled piece of machinery comes to rest on the road beneath.

There were “two dead with no injuries”, local police chief Sitthiporn Kasi said.
