RTX 5060 jumps to the top in South Korea, takes one third of NVIDIA GPU market
Danawa has published a new report using its research data, showing how fast the GeForce RTX 50 series reshaped buying patterns in 2025. The dataset is based on sales tracked through Danawa’s connected retailers, so it reflects Danawa’s market view rather than global shipments.

RTX 5060 replaced RTX 4060 as the top pick after June 2025
Danawa says the turning point came with the RTX 5060 launch in June 2025. Two months before that, RTX 4060 held a 40.48% share in Danawa’s tracking, then fell sharply after RTX 5060 arrived. By the end of 2025, Danawa places RTX 5060 at 32.12% share, followed by RTX 5060 Ti at 15.61%, with RTX 5070 Ti sitting in the 12% range.

Cooling designs track the “mainstream” shift and vendor share changes by segment
Danawa’s charts also show how board designs differ by tier. RTX 5060 sales skew hard toward dual-fan cards at 95.77%, which Danawa links to lower heat output and better fit for smaller builds. Moving up the stack, dual-fan share drops to 66.71% on RTX 5060 Ti, while triple-fan designs dominate RTX 5070 at 87.99% and RTX 5070 Ti at 99.59%.
In the RTX 5060 vendor share segment, Danawa lists PALIT at 25.2% share and MSI at 19.02%, which matches the price-driven nature of this tier. For higher SKUs, Danawa says MSI takes the lead, reporting 29.18% on RTX 5060 Ti, 28.34% on RTX 5070, and 26.2% on RTX 5070 Ti. Danawa also points to ZOTAC and GIGABYTE gaining share as buyers move upmarket.

Danawa warns the “stable” period may be ending
Danawa reports that average pricing for RTX 5060 fell from about 540,000 won at launch to about 480,000 won, while RTX 5060 Ti dropped from about 780,000 won to about 680,000 won. Higher-tier RTX 5070-class and above shows a wider spread, roughly 930,000 to 1.35 million won in the same tracking.
Danawa also repeats claims that NVIDIA may adjust output for higher-VRAM models, and argues that an 8GB RTX 5060 could be less exposed to GDDR7 cost pressure than 16GB products.
