Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus appears on PassMark, nears Core Ultra 9 285K single-thread

A PassMark entry has surfaced for Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus , an Arrow Lake refresh mobile part. The listing is the first PassMark result spotted for this SKU.

PassMark reports a 5,009 single-thread score for the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus. That result lands close to Intel’s Core Ultra 9 285K desktop chip in the same database. The same comparison also puts the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus ahead of the Core Ultra 9 285HX by about 7.5% in single-thread score.

The PassMark page shows a recorded boost of 5.45 GHz for the run. Apparently this laptop is equipped with Samsung DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory, and based on the entry data, it’s an MSI system paired with an NVIDIA RTX 5090. This is still a single public result, so performance can shift with power limits, firmware, and memory configuration.
