Zalman Launches Acrux II Platinum 1200 W Power Supply

Zalman has introduced the Acrux II Platinum 1200 W fully modular power supply. The unit complies with the Intel ATX 3.1 specification and supports PCIe 5.1, including a native 12 V-2 x6 connector for GPUs. The Acrux II Platinum is rated for up to 94% peak efficiency, is 80 Plus Platinum certified, alongside Cybenetics ETA Titanium efficiency and LAMBDA A+ noise certifications. It is built to handle up to 200% transient power excursions for short durations (100μs), as required by ATX 3.1 guidelines. The unit features APFC (Active Power Factor Correction) and an LLC resonant converter with a single +12V rail, DC-DC topology, and is equipped with Japanese 105°C capacitors.

Cooling is handled by a 120 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan with automatic speed control. A dedicated silent mode switch allows the fan to remain off at loads below 30%. The Acrux II Platinum 1200 W PSU came in a typical ATX format measuring 140 × 150 × 86 mm, and is rated for a 100,000-hour MTBF. Within the same Acrux II series, Zalman also introduced 1000 W and 850 W models, respectively, all of which retain the 80 Plus Platinum certification. Details regarding availability and pricing are yet to be announced.
