Wokyis M5 Mac mini dock turns M4 series into mini Macintosh
Wokyis has released an upgraded M5 docking station built around Apple’s Mac mini. The dock uses a classic Macintosh-style shell and adds storage expansion plus extra I/O.
Two versions are listed: a USB-C 10Gbps model and an 80Gbps Thunderbolt 5 model (this one is much more expensive). Both include an integrated 5-inch IPS screen with a 1280×720 resolution . Storage expansion comes from an internal M.2 slot that supports 2230, 2242, 2260, and 2280 drives, with a stated capacity limit of up to 8TB.

Port selection includes four USB-A 10Gbps ports, one USB-C 10Gbps port, SD and microSD readers (UHS-II listed), a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an HDMI-in port. The Thunderbolt 5 variant also adds a DisplayPort output, listed as supporting up to 8K at 60 Hz.
Wokyis lists compatibility with Mac mini M4 and M4 Pro, along with Mac mini M1 and M2 systems, plus other Thunderbolt and USB4 computers. The company also lists Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.x / USB 2.0-only systems as unsupported.

The retro-Mac look is not limited to docks. AYANEO sells the AM01 retro mini PC in a similar visual style, and later added an AMD Ryzen 7 5800U option while listing a 35W customized cooling system and M.2 2280 storage support. It is almost as ‘cheap’ as the M4 retro dock itself.
Pricing depends on the version. The Thunderbolt 5 version costs $339, while it is $169 for the cheaper variant.
