ASUS ROG Swift PG27AQWP-W preorders go live at $1,099: 540Hz QHD OLED with 720Hz dual mode

ASUS opens US preorders for ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W, a 540Hz QHD monitor with a 720Hz mode

ASUS has started taking US preorders for the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP-W. The monitor uses a 26.5-inch QHD (2560×1440) Tandem OLED panel. Refresh rate tops out at 540Hz in QHD, and the dual-mode setting drops resolution to 720p to reach 720Hz.

The big change versus older OLED esports displays is the glossy TrueBlack Glossy coating . ASUS says the surface is “zero-haze” and uses an anti-reflective layer that cuts ambient reflections by 38% compared to earlier glossy WOLED panels.

Burn-in protection is handled through ASUS OLED Care Pro. The Neo Proximity Sensor detects when a user steps away and switches the screen to black, then restores the image when the user returns. ASUS also calls out a custom heatsink as part of the OLED Care approach.

ASUS lists VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black support, 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, true 10-bit color, and Delta E<2 calibration. ASUS rates response time at 0.02ms (GTG).

On the input side, ASUS advertises DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 with full 80Gbps bandwidth, plus HDMI 2.1. LG’s UltraGear 27GX790B-B targets the same 540Hz QHD and 720Hz HD dual-mode segment, so the choice may come down to features like coating, design, and retailer availability. The company describes a silver finish and a half-transparent rear panel, and product shots show RGB lighting on the back.
