AMD AI Bundle is live, up to 32GB to download
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.1.1 introduces an optional “AI Bundle” install path that adds a pre-packaged local AI tool stack to the standard driver update. The option is part of the installer flow, so users can skip it and install only the driver.
The AI Bundle is big. AMD’s own FAQ says a full install needs about 35GB of free disk space, and the installer UI can show the per-app sizes in Custom Install. Some early screenshots also show the bundle as a 34GB download. From this, ComfuyUI and PyTorch both take 13GB each.
What the AI Bundle installs
- PyTorch on Windows , packaged with Visual Studio Code and Python 3.12.0, plus a ROCm-based PyTorch build.
- ComfyUI for node-based image workflows.
- Ollama for running LLMs locally.
- LM Studio for downloading and running LLMs in an app UI.
- Amuse for text-to-image generation with AMD-optimized models.
The installer checks what hardware is present and only offers the AI Bundle on supported systems. It shows up on Ryzen AI Max (Strix Halo) systems, but it does not appear on Ryzen 9000 desktop CPUs that only expose basic Radeon Graphics. AMD’s support list covers Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs, RX 7000 series starting at RX 7700 and up, plus Ryzen AI 300, Ryzen AI 400, and Ryzen AI Max processors.

If you are wondering why anyone would download this, AMD’s video explains it best. Instead of running separate installers for each tool, which often require extra steps such as installing third-party software like Git, the AI Bundle is faster and lets you deploy tools like ComfyUI more quickly.
It is also worth adding that the AI Bundle does not include AI Chat, which is already integrated into Adrenalin Software. The chat feature acts as an on-device assistant for GPU software and driver information. The driver update alone is around 10GB, so downloading everything can add up to at least 40GB. The AI Bundle still needs to download AI models, but it gives you plenty of options.
