AMD preparing Ryzen 7 9850X3D, DDR5 memory and CPU cooler bundles

AMD spotted working on Ryzen 7 9850X3D bundles with DDR5 memory and Cooler Master air cooler

A retail box photo suggests AMD is putting together a bundled kit built around the Ryzen 7 9850X3D. The packaging also carries Cooler Master and V-Color branding, which points to a multi-brand bundle rather than a standard CPU box. The photo was shared by JustBuy on Bilibili, which suggests the bundle is intended for the Chinese market rather than global retail.

The box lists a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, a V-Color DDR5 kit, and a Cooler Master Hyper 612 APEX PRO air cooler. The memory configuration shown on the box is 32GB (16GB x2). The speed of the memory is not known.

The bundle is worth nearly $1,100

For buyers pricing parts separately, Cooler Master’s Hyper 612 APEX has been listed at about $79.99. The V-Color Manta XFinity RGB DDR5-6000 kit that goes for around $509.99 on Newegg, which highlights how uneven DDR5 pricing can be across sellers. AMD has already confirmed the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, and the CPU is listed on AMD’s product pages. The company has said the chip launches on January 29 with a $499 price tag.

Hardware bundles are already common in the US retail channel, with Micro Center regularly selling CPU combos that also include a motherboard and memory at a lower combined price than buying parts separately.

At this moment we don’t know if this particular kit is only for the Chinese market, each of these components is available or soon will be globally. JustBuy confirmed this kit will soon be available for sale, but did not specify where and for how much.
