Yesterday, Intel released its latest Arc GPU drivers —a major upgraded feature was introduced in the form of third-gen Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) with multi-frame generation (MFG) tech. The 8362 WHQL branch covers Arc iGPUs in brand-new Core Ultra 3 "Panther Lake-H" mobile processors, whilst the other one—8425—takes care of older discrete and integrated solutions. Curiously, Team Blue's latest update does not bring immediate XeSS 3 MFG support to their current flagship "Battlemage" discrete graphics card—the Arc B580 12 GB model. In an exclusive article, Tom's Guide cites information contained in an important email—sent by Intel—confirming that: "Arc B580 is officially getting XeSS 3 with Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) next month." Presumably in the near future, this feature set will trickle down to Arc B570 10 GB cards, and previous-gen products (e.g. "Alchemist"/A-series).

At least for the next couple of weeks, only Core Ultra 300 APUs get to enjoy bragging rights over XeSS 3 with multi-frame generation. In the aforementioned Tom's Guide exclusive report, the author mentions that they are looking forward to testing out this tech on a Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro notebook—their test subject is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 358H processor. This particular model features the much lauded Arc B390 iGPU—a prominent new Xe3-based challenger to AMD's best integrated graphics solutions. In another Tom's Guide news piece, a Team Blue representative teased further multi-frame generation innovations: "gaming handhelds are an exciting and growing segment where we have more planned, featuring Intel Arc graphics. We'll share more later this year." So far, we have seen "Panther Lake" being deployed in the usual set of laptops/notebooks and mini PC designs.
