Philips EVNIA 27M2N5500XD adds 720p 1000Hz mode alongside 1440p 540Hz

Philips has published full specs for the EVNIA 27M2N5500XD, a 27-inch Fast IPS gaming monitor built around a dual-mode refresh setup. The monitor runs at 2560×1440 up to 500Hz, with an overclock option to 540Hz, then switches to 1280×720 for a 1000Hz mode.
Mode switching is handled through the monitor’s on-screen controls, including a dedicated Dual Mode control listed in the button map. Philips also lists MultiView support for picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture use. HDR support is listed as VESA HDR 400, with brightness ratings of 350 nits (HDR off), 450 nits (HDR on), and 500 nits peak. Philips also lists Delta E < 1 (sRGB) and 1.07B colors (8-bit + FRC).

For gamut, the Philips spec table lists DCI-P3 96% and sRGB 100%, alongside NTSC 109% and Adobe RGB 107% (marked with an asterisk on the page). Some China retail coverage instead quotes 96% DCI-P3 and 94% AdobeRGB.
Philips lists 2× HDMI 2.1, 1× DisplayPort 2.1, and a headphone out jack, with HDCP 2.3 support. The stand supports 130 mm height adjustment, tilt (-5° to 20°), swivel (+/-30°), and pivot (+/-90°), plus 100×100 VESA mounting. A PR Newswire release distributed for PHILIPS EVNIA claims DisplayPort 2.1 at 80 Gbps and HDMI 2.1 at 48 Gbps. Notebookcheck reports the same DP 2.1 bandwidth figure and describes the DP input as UHBR20.

Some reporting in China links the panel to TCL CSOT and its “HFS Shoot” branding, but Philips’ own product page describes the panel as Fast IPS.
The monitor has started showing up in China retail coverage ahead of wider availability. In China it costs around $719.
