NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition restock hits Europe, sells out in minutes
NVIDIA’s Marketplace saw its first Founders Edition restock in over a month, with the GeForce RTX 5090 FE disappearing within minutes. The drop happened in NVIDIA’s German store on January 30. We hear that the stock was similar through other EU stores, so it was most likely one distribution.
Founders Edition GPUs, which is gamers only chance to buy RTX 50 cards at MSRP these days, hasn’t been in stock since early December, while retail pricing for partner cards kept climbing. That gap has pushed more buyers toward NVIDIA’s own store whenever inventory shows up.
RTX 5090/5080 sold out in minutes
According to the ComputerBase RTX 50 Deals bot, all three Founders Edition cards went live shortly after 10:00 local time in Germany. The GeForce RTX 5090 FE sold out after about eight minutes. The GeForce RTX 5080 FE followed at around 10:20, while the GeForce RTX 5070 FE stayed available for over three hours.

NVIDIA doesn’t want you to buy at MSRP
Away from the Marketplace, GeForce RTX 5090 listings have rarely dipped below €3,000 in recent weeks, and the lowest tracked offers often involved returned stock. That made the restock look like a short window for buyers trying to avoid inflated pricing.
Another change is how orders are handled. NVIDIA is now processing Founders Edition purchases directly, instead of routing checkout through partners such as notebooksbilliger.de and Proshop used for earlier launches.
For reference, ComputerBase lists the Founders Edition prices as €2,099 for the GeForce RTX 5090, €1,059 for the GeForce RTX 5080, and €589 for the GeForce RTX 5070. The same report also points to a simple reason the drops stay rare: NVIDIA relies on board partners for most global distribution, so Founders Edition volumes remain limited to avoid channel conflict.
