Sapphire to launch Radeon RX 9070 NITRO+ Crimson Desert Edition

Sapphire teases Radeon RX 9000 “Crimson Desert” themed graphics card

SAPPHIRE has just teased a new graphics card, seemingly a special edition for their new NITRO series. We dug and found what model this is exactly.

Sapphire and AMD are tying a new Radeon release to Crimson Desert from Pearl Abyss, and the themed card now shows up as a NITRO+ model. We have found evidence that a new NITRO+ model is coming. Many retailers are already listing the exact name for this new model: SAPPHIRE NITRO+ RX 9070 XT Gaming OC 16GB Crimson Desert Edition and even include a board code (11348-10-20G).

In fact, Sapphire themselves also confirmed the new card it was linked in the new TRiXX software update alongside PhantomLink.

Sapphire TriXX Version:11.0.0

  • New models supported: SAPPHIRE RX 9070XT PhantomLink Series and RX 9070XT Crimson Desert Version.
  • Support thermal and power current protection on the power connection of NITRO+ RX 9070 XT Phanmtomlink Edition.

SAPPHIRE has already been using Crimson Desert artwork in NITRO+ RX 9000 product marketing, including character imagery shown directly on at least one NITRO+ RX 9000-series retail page. AMD also lists Crimson Desert as a featured game with its own hardware guidance page.

New RX 9070 XT NITRO Edition

In case you have been living under a rock like me and never heard of this game before, Crimson Desert is an upcoming open world action RPG from Pearl Abyss. The game follows Kliff and the Greymanes across the continent of Pywel as regional conflicts escalate, with “the Abyss” teased as a larger threat in the background. Pearl Abyss is building the game on the in-house BlackSpace Engine and has been highlighting its visuals and simulation tech.

Crimson Desert was first revealed on November 7, 2019 (yes, this long ago), and the release is now set for March 19, 2026 , with pre-orders announced ahead of that date.
