At Just $199, MANGMI Launches Pocket Max Android Gaming Handheld That Boasts A 7-inch 144Hz OLED Display

This is one of the cheapest OLED Android gaming handhelds on the market, powered by the Snapdragon 865 processor.

Popular handheld maker, MANGMI, has announced its latest Android gaming handheld called Pocket Max, bringing the power of the Snapdragon 865 processor and Adreno 650 GPU for a smooth gaming experience. It's the second Android handheld device from the company that delivers significantly superior specs out of the box, including the internal hardware and screen, which makes Pocket Max a powerful Android handheld for enthusiasts.

While most decently powerful Android gaming handhelds are often limited to smaller and slower IPS displays. The Pocket Max, on the other hand, brings an OLED panel for its large 7-inch display that runs at a good 144 Hz refresh rate for fluid gameplay. It's a big upgrade over the MANGMI AIR X handheld that used a 5.5 inch IPS screen, but Pocket Max retains the same 1920 x 1080p resolution, which is still adequate.

The display offers a high 100,000:1 contrast ratio for deep blacks and incredibly vibrant color reproduction via 150% sRGB color gamut. With 800 nits of peak brightness, the display will offer a vivid image quality, and with just 2 ms of response time, it's going to be competitive as well. Just from the exterior, you can see how much of an upgrade the Pocket Max brings over the AIR X, including a more premium black chassis with a modern control system.

MANGMI claims that the Pocket Max is the first Android gaming handheld to have a magnetic modular button system, and its mechanical micro-switch modules offer crisper clicks, are highly responsive, and offer longer durability. The analog sticks are TMR, offering a better experience than traditional potentiometers and Hall Effect sticks. Moreover, the triggers use Hall Effect technology, making them ideal for games that require precise analog input and smooth acceleration control.

Packed with an 8000 mAh battery, the Pocket Max is bringing 60% more battery life than AIR X and a 27 W fast charging as well. The device uses Android with All-New M SPACE 2.0, delivering a simple interface for users. Pocket Max launches on February 5, 2026, and will be sold at $199 as a Super Early Bird Price from February 5th to 12th. The price will then be increased to $219 post February 12.
