AYANEO NEXT 2 pricing and June 2026 overseas shipping window confirmed

AYANEO has confirmed pricing and an overseas estimated shipping window for its NEXT 2 Windows handheld. In the company’s NEXT 2 “sharing session”, it listed June 2026 as the overseas shipping timeframe and outlined three launch configurations based on AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Ryzen AI Max 385.
Those prices place NEXT 2 at the top end of the Windows handheld market. AYANEO’s positioning also suggests the device will stay niche at launch, since similar high-end competitors were initially announced around $400 lower in comparable tiers. Several brands have since adjusted pricing upward, which AYANEO tied to recent DRAM cost increases discussed during the session. Check the chart below for current prices of all Strix Halo handhelds.

AYANEO lists two Ryzen AI Max+ 395 models in “Polar Black”: 64GB + 1TB at $2,299 (early bird) and $2,699 (retail), and 128GB + 2TB at $3,499 (early bird) and $4,299 (retail). A Ryzen AI Max 385 model with 32GB + 1TB is listed at $1,799 (early bird) and $1,999 (retail). The early bird discount ranges from $200 to $800 depending on the configuration.

On specs, AYANEO lists a 9.06-inch OLED panel at 2400×1504 with up to 165Hz refresh, plus a stated 1,155-nit brightness figure. Memory is listed as LPDDR5X-8533, with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB options depending on SKU. Storage support includes two PCIe 4.0 drives, one M.2 2280 (x4) and one M.2 2230 (x4), with 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB options mentioned.

Other listed features include a 116Wh battery , dual fans and VC cooling fins, two full-function USB-C ports with USB4 40Gbps, plus DP 1.4 and PD 3.0 support. AYANEO also lists Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4, a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, Windows 11 64-bit Home, and a stated weight of about 1,426g. Worth adding that NEXT 2 has two SSD storage support, and unlike its competitor, this is a normal M.2 storage, just one is 2280 and the other is 2230 form factor (no Mini-SSD proprietary slot).
During the session, the founder also mentioned travel logistics, noting that the 116Wh battery exceeds the 100Wh threshold many airlines use, and that passengers may need to submit an approval form before flying with the device.
Unfortunately, handheld brands are not using the recently announced Ryzen AI Max+ 388 processors, and none of these systems is available for under $1,000. AYANEO also has a mixed reputation for customer service, but the company’s founder addressed those concerns last month . AYANEO needs to improve its support and communication. The company frequently sends PR materials (usually days late), but it rarely responds to our questions.
