Expensive graphics cards: RTX 5060 Ti 16GB closes in on RTX 5070 pricings

Graphics card pricing in January moved up for weeks, then flattened and even dipped slightly for most GeForce RTX 5000 models tracked by ComputerBase. The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB has not followed that pattern, with recent new listings trending higher.
According to ComputerBase and its RTX 5000 deal bot, recent daily median prices for new RTX 5060 Ti 16GB listings have repeatedly landed at a little over €700. That puts it close to the RTX 5070 12GB, where the two cards had typically been separated by around €100 in recent months.
The lowest observed prices still show a larger gap. ComputerBase’s tracker lists the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB at roughly €550 at the low end versus roughly €650 for the RTX 5070 12GB, with the warning that the best-priced listings tend to sell out quickly.

ComputerBase says the price movement does not yet clearly point to a supply squeeze based on retailer availability, describing the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB as broadly in stock. It adds that lower production volume could still be a factor even if it is not obvious in price-comparison availability.
Also, it does not reflect all markets. If we look at PCPartPicker’s data, it shows that the RTX 5070 has already moved up so the gap stays, but both SKUs are now more expensive.

As we recall, NVIDIA implemented a new prioritization scheme. The company denied claims that certain SKUs are discontinued, but regardless of whether that’s true or to what extent, the reality is that almost all RTX 50 cards are now more expensive than they were before.
NVIDIA’s new RTX 50 GPU memory class prioritizations
- 8GB: RTX 5060 , RTX 5060 Ti
- 12GB : RTX 5070
- 16GB: RTX 5060 Ti, RTX 5070 Ti , RTX 5080
- 24GB : RTX 5090D V2
- 32GB: RTX 5090/D
The new prioritization scheme affects mainly the RTX 5060, RTX 5060 Ti 8GB, and RTX 5070 Ti, which saw the largest price increases. However, as we can see, even the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, RTX 5070, and RTX 5080 are not immune to the market situation. The RTX 5090, on the other hand, is a different story altogether—the card is now slowly approaching 2× its original MSRP and shows no intention to stop.
