GeForce NOW adds Amazon Fire TV app, expands support to select Fire TV Stick models

NVIDIA is expanding GeForce NOW to the living room with a new app for Amazon Fire TV devices as part of the service’s sixth anniversary push. The company says the February rollout is a month-long celebration, with this week centered on a new platform launch and eight newly added games.
According to the NVIDIA, the GeForce NOW app is available now on select Fire TV devices, starting with Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2nd Gen) running Fire OS 8.1.6.0 or later, plus Fire TV Stick 4K Max (1st Gen) on Fire OS 7.7.1.1 or later. NVIDIA lists streaming at up to 1080p at 60 fps using H.264, with standard dynamic range video and stereo audio, and says users can play with a compatible controller.

NVIDIA is positioning the launch as another way to access PC game libraries without buying new hardware. The blog post also reiterates the broader “play on nearly any screen” pitch, pointing to existing support across PCs, Macs, phones, browsers, and smart TVs, plus recent additions for Linux.
This week’s GeForce NOW content update also spotlights Torment: Tides of Numenera, with NVIDIA calling out device switching as a fit for story-heavy games. NVIDIA describes the setting as the “Ninth World,” with a focus on dialogue, choices, and companions rather than a typical action-first structure.
The weekly lineup includes eight titles, mixing new releases and classic collections. NVIDIA’s list includes Disciples: Domination (Feb. 12), REANIMAL (Feb. 13), Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Xbox, Game Pass, Feb. 13), Capcom Beat ‘Em Up Bundle, Capcom Fighting Collection, Mega Man 11, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, and Torment: Tides of Numenera (Steam and Xbox, Game Pass).
