PlayStation UK is promoting the Flex leasing offer again

Gamers who can’t afford a gaming console, or perhaps gamers who have only the intention to buy one game and finish it without playing other games, now have the option of leasing a console for a set amount of time (minimum of 1 year).
The PlayStation Direct page describes £0 upfront, a monthly rolling plan (cancel anytime) and lower monthly pricing if you pick 12, 24, or 36 months. The Flex leasing catalog currently covers consoles and accessories, including PS5 (1TB), PS5 Digital Edition (825GB), PS5 Pro (2TB), DualSense bundles, PlayStation Portal, PS VR2, and DualSense Edge. The storefront also advertises free next-day delivery.
The cheapest option starts at £9.95 per month for the standard digital edition of Play Station 5, up to £16.99 for the Pro model:

On the terms side, PlayStation Direct’s leasing FAQ says the agreement is with Raylo. At the end of the chosen term, the options are upgrade, keep paying monthly, or return the device. It also states that additional payments do not contribute towards ownership , and any purchase option is handled separately and is not presented as a standard checkout choice.
This is not a new product category for Raylo. Raylo has operated as a consumer electronics subscription company since 2018 and sells console subscriptions directly on its own site, alongside phones and laptops. The PlayStation Direct UK integration itself has also been public since at least March 2025, when it was reported as an official PS5 rental service tied to PlayStation Direct.
