Acemagic Retro X5 mini PC listed with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Radeon 890M

The Retro X5 is now on sale in China, with a listed starting price of about $941. The mini PC uses a console-style chassis inspired by the NES look, but its hardware is based on AMD’s current mobile APU platform.

The system is built around the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 . Acemagic’s own spec rundown lists the APU as a 12-core, 24-thread part with boost clocks up to 5.1GHz, paired with Radeon 890M integrated graphics (16 compute units, up to 2900MHz) and an XDNA 2 NPU rated for up to 50 TOPS.

The company also advertises an “advanced cooling” solution, but it has not published standardized noise or temperature figures. Port selection includes 1x USB4, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, 1x DisplayPort 2.0, 2x 2.5GbE, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless connectivity is listed as WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, and the USB4 port is positioned for external GPU support.

The full config has up to 128GB of DDR5 memory and up to 4TB of PCIe 4.0 storage; however, only 32GB+1TB version is now on sale. Acemagic has not shared timing for regions outside China, but the product is already covered on its international blog.
