Intel Core Ultra 5 338H benchmarks show Arc B370 iGPU close to RTX 4050 Laptop GPU scores

Intel Arc B370 in first synthetic tests trades places with RTX 4050 Laptop GPU

NotebookCheck published early benchmark data for Intel’s Core Ultra 5 338H, a Panther Lake laptop processor paired with the Arc B370 iGPU . The site says its unit was an engineering sample running at a steady 35W for testing.

On paper, the Core Ultra 5 338H is a 12-core chip (4 performance cores, 4 efficient cores, 4 low power efficient cores) with up to 4.7 GHz turbo. Intel lists the Arc B370 iGPU with 10 Xe-cores and a 2.4 GHz max dynamic frequency, plus LPDDR5X support up to 8533 MT/s.

In CPU-focused results, Notebookcheck reports the Core Ultra 5 338H is broadly in line with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 at similar 45W and 35W configurations. It also notes Intel leads in single-core testing while the Ryzen part does better in multi-core.

For GPU performance, Arc B370 scored 5933 points in 3DMark Time Spy, with Arc B390 result at 6679 and 7910 depending on the laptop used. That said, the B390 is at least 13% faster (or the B370 is 11% slower).

In Steel Nomad the B370 scored 1376 points, whereas the B390 managed to score higher at 1667 points. That said, the B390 is 21% faster or B370 is 17% slower than B390 if you prefer. What’s important is that both Arc B370 and B390 also sits well above older iGPU entries such as Intel Arc Graphics 140V and 140T.

Of course, keep in mind that these figures come from an engineering sample and that retail results can change with final clocks, drivers, and OEM power limits. It expects the first retail systems with Core Ultra 5 338H and Arc B370 “within the next couple of weeks”.
