CPUID has released an update to one of the most popular utilities in the world of PC hardware with the official launch of CPU-Z version 3.01, the first stable release in the CPU-Z 3.0 family. Much has changed within the CPU-Z software itself, as it now provides more detailed validation results for regular users and clearer validation for extreme overclocking scenarios. The familiar CPU-Z skin still runs on top of the desktop application, but the validation process has become more interesting.

Como mayor bans 'beasts' in city centre after being hit by bike
The mayor of Como has banned riding bicycles in certain areas of the historic Italian city after he was hit by an electric one.
Alessandro Rapinese said the ban was necessary to improve public safety. It means from September, cyclists will have to dismount through an area of around 30 streets.
He told Italian news agency Ansa: "People act based on their own experiences and I know what it's like to be hit by one of these beasts."

A 37-year-old Toronto man is facing charges in connection with a series of indecent acts in Markham.
Police in York Region say between June 9 and Aug. 14 of this year, investigators responded to five separate incidents in the McCowan Road and Steeles Avenue area. In each case, women reported being approached by a man who then exposed himself to them.
