British diplomats in six locations around the world, including Buenos Aires and Santiago in South America, will no longer get hardship payments for working in dangerous cities.

France's top court blocks social media ban for under-15s
France's top court has struck down a ban on social media for under-15s, saying it infringed upon freedom of expression.
The legislation was backed by French lawmakers in July, making it the first European country to block young people from the platforms, after concerns over the harmful effects on children's mental health.
Friday's ruling by the Constitutional Council overrides the ban, which Emmanuel Macron had pledged would be introduced in stages from September.

Moment €9m worth of art stolen from Italy museum
Police have recovered three paintings that were stolen from a museum in Italy earlier this year.
CCTV footage of the theft on the night of 22 March was released by authorities, showing two masked thieves breaking into the Magnani Rocca Museum, near the city of Parma.
It is estimated the paintings have a combined worth of €9m (£7.8m), making it one of the most significant art thefts in Italy in recent years.

US missionary released following kidnap in Niger, Christian group says
An American missionary has been released after spending more than nine months in captivity, the international Christian organisation he worked for has said.
Kevin Rideout - who was kidnapped outside his home in Niger's capital Niamey last year - was "in good health in the care of US officials", SIM International said in a statement on Friday.

Eight illustrations by French artist Henri Matisse that were stolen from a library in São Paulo have been recovered by police in Brazil.
The works, which have a combined estimated worth of about $200,000 (£148,000), were found on Thursday at a home in the town of São Bernardo do Campo, a suburb to the south of the city. A 44-year-old male suspect was arrested at the scene.
